Our nation is celebrating its Independence today and this post is my dedication to my being an "Indian"..
You may wonder, why I am putting up an Independence Day message on this
site as it is not a social networking site, but, I have a point here. This site
represents an “Indian Premier League” team, owned and run by Indians and which
consists majorly of Indian players.
It doesn’t matter that I belong to Delhi and our team is a Bangalore
team. The first person to comment on this blog might be from Mumbai or
elsewhere. What matters is we all are one. We share our culture, our society, our
identity and our love for the team.
Everytime RCB shines, India shines too.
A few verses on the occassion..
India got free on this august ‘August’
Day
For this our martyrs had a great price
to pay
They didn’t back off, didn’t buckle down
They sent back queen’s army, won our
crown
At 63. our nation stands today, battered
and bruised
If not for our faults, success’s path it
would have cruised
It’s in our hands now, to make ourselves
strong
To defeat the problems that hurt us all
along
We can and we certainly can, let there
be no doubt
Come let’s all get together and in one
voice we shout
Chak De India! Happy Independence Day to
all of us!
