If I Were A Ball

What a cricket ball thinks about the RCB players whom I had short listed in my playing eleven here.
1. Kallis: We have things in common. I am round and he is the best all-rounder. I always feel glad to see him open the batting and bowling for RCB. In a rollercoaster ride that is to follow, it’s always wise to begin in stable hands.

2. Kumble: I feel so smart when I am in his hand. The perplexed look on the batsman, when I know I am a flipper or a googly, is priceless. I’ve been in many hands, but take my word: He is amongst the all-time Gods of spin.

3. Dravid : As if his cute looks were not enough, the graceful way he caresses me with the bat, never fails to take my breathe away. When he blocks, I feel like the world should stop right there. When he stands in slip, he is always eager to catch me when the opposition batsman has cut me mercilessly.
.
4. Dale Steyn: Courtesy him, I know what it feels like to be a lightning. I am glad that they have helmets these days. I wouldn’t enjoy bleeding the batsmen.

5. Van De Merwe: This man holds me in his left hand. It gives a different perspective of the pitch and the batsmen to me. No wonder, the batsmen find it hard to touch me when I come enlightened through his hands.

6. Mark Boucher: I spend a lot of time in his hands. This guy is possessive. He never drops lets me slip by. And when he comes back as a batsman, he never allows me to get to the other wicket-keeper.

7. Praveen Kumar: He has the art of making me look deceivingly simple. Though he doesn’t throw me fast enough, he keeps me disciplined and I move around a bit in return when I reach the batsmen.

8. Jesse Ryder: I like him being round and an all-rounder. He is a jovial fellow. The way he hits me, I know he is hard to tame.

9. Robin Uthappa: I can’t thank him enough for the wonderful views he gives me whenever he shoots me up in the sky. Every time a bowler bowls me to him, I always anticipate a nice air-travel.

10. Manish Pandey: Can anyone forget how this young lad sent me everywhere on his way to the century against the Deccan Chargers. Sometimes, I deliberately slip out of the bowler’s hands when he is batting. The crowd jumps higher and the mischief gals dance with more jigs whenever I reach boundary from his bat.

11. Ross Taylor: Ross is unpredictable. Sometimes he drops me for a single and the next moment he hits me farther than many can. He has allowed me numerous chances to be in the hands of RCB fans and in turn he gets six runs added to his name.
