India wins the ODI Series making it 3-Nil

The 3rd ODI was played yet again without Chris Gayle as his absence was clearly felt by the West Indies team.

Gayle's absence continues:-

After the selectors did not select Chris Gayle yet again instead giving a go to DP Hyatt, all the fans of RCB as well as in the West Indies were utterly disappointed to see the biggie missing from the team. Once again the predictions started pouring it to be a one sided contest in India's favor. Sure enough, India won the toss again and to its advantage as they had been doing so they put the opposition into bat.

The unknown hero:-

Once again the West Indies batsmen were trying to gain their touch but India stuck in the very 2nd over and Edwards was out. Sarwan and Simmons were the only saving grace for the West Indies as they went on to build 64 runs partnership but just when Sarwan was looking good a brilliant throw from Raina ended his stay at the crease. Simmons did his best to stay and play but he was losing partners at the other end. Even Pollard once again failed so did Simmons departed in the 22nd over making a useful 45. The middle order collapsed as Baugh was seeing the ball through in the company of Russel who was playing his 1st match of the series. Baugh was rotating the strike wel and Russel's cameo surprised India as he went on to score 92 runs who turned out to be the unknown hero for the hosts taking them to an unexpected score of 225 runs.

The World Champions remained victorious:-

India began their chase in a similar fashion as their opponents did losing Dhawan and Virat Kohli early on. Badrinath to did not grab his chance again as Raina went back to the dressing room early but then Parthiv and Rohit had other plans for India. Both of them played superb cricket. Parthiv make a breezy 46 as bhajji joined Rohit. Along with Bhajji who made valuable 41 runs, Sharma finished it off for India scoring an elegant 86 runs as once India was in danger of losing the match. Praveen showed his batting skills whacking a quick fire 25 as India went on the win the series 3-0.

Even though India have won the series 3-0, they are hungry for more and would like to end up the ODI series by winning it 5-0.
