Why is our batting line up underperforming in the current series?
It has been 3 matches in the Emerald Island that indians have played of which batsmen have failed to make any mark in the two games.
Poor Umpiring Decisions : Yeah thats what happened in the last macth, one point of view is we may be unlucky but other way of looking at it is that is part of the game. So we really cant say these decisions was a decisive factor for us scoring as less as 103 in the lastn match
Was the pitch very bad to bat : Not really, it was ok. Accepted in lights at dambulla , ball does a fair bit. But stringing partnerships is all about playing safely for few overs, get your eye in and then play shots. That neither happened in the 2 matches.
Is it a good sign before the world cup? : Its good that alarm bells are ringing little early, but that doesnt mean that we perform badly, batsmen lose confidence and ultimately there is a lot of chop and change, which may unsettle the line up.
What next? - Well we have defeated srilanka in crucial matches, as recent as the asia cup final recently. But we need to cross a big hudle in what is a virtual semifinal against the kiwis.
We have proven people wrong in the past, but will people stop talking about our batting issues even if we go on to win the next match and the final, only time will tell.

Well, come on.. What's he thinking of? Trying to get this team trained for World Cup?
We got a almost a year left & instead of trying these players who are playing Pathetic on field, try newbie's...
I'm sure each state can come up with a Star performer..
Tiwary of MI needs a chance for sure, like wise we got Manish..
We have a whole lot of talents lined up..What's DHONI thinking?
Unlike Australians, who systematically bring in a young batsman or a young bowler in, groom him for a few games with the seniors and then proceed to the next one, our selectors make wholesale changes. A player of Dravid's caliber sits out only because of his age and such a thing can happen in India.
There has to be more thought and the induction of youngsters shouldn't be at the cost of the reputation of the team.
We sorely miss having a couple of genuine all rounders and not flukes like Ravinder Jadeja.
We have been missing a decent all rounder, so if 5 of our 6 batsmen has a bad idea, we end up scoring as low as we did in last few matches.
Time is definitely running out and we need to have a settled batting line up now.
@Sachin- Like the way you sign off. 'true RCB fan' :)
There are some of the youngsters, especially Kartik and Rohit Sharma, who have repeatedly been tried and fail constantly.
