Is it Right to Replace Gambhir and Virat Kholi to give way for Rohit and Rahane ?
With the continuing poor performance of Ghambir and Virat Kholi it will be just time for the replacements to begin, with Rohit Sharma waiting to be included for Virat and Rahane who has shown good performances in the shorter version of the game, will surely be eagerly waiting to show their potential if this kind of poor form continues with the 2 players.
Ghambir in the recent Test matches:
Ind- Aus 2nd test – 0,83
Ind – Aus 1st Test – 3, 13
Ind – WI test series- 55,12
Ind – WI test series – 65
These performances are contrary to his Test Average – 46.67, and this poor run of Gambhir is helping the middle order batsmen like Dravid and Sachin to be on the field before 10 Overs have finished.
It’s just a matter of time before he is rested if he continues with the same form.
Virat Kohli in recent Test matches:
Ind – Aus 2nd Test – 23,9
Ind – Aus 1st Test – 11, 0
Ind – WI test series – 52, 63
Virat Kohli has immense talent and is expected to be the future
captain of India, but with the pressure of maintaining a place in the
Team with the talent of Rohit Sharma waiting to pounce at an
opportunity, these scores are not a good sign for this Future Captain of
Indian team.
Lets hope Ghambir and Virat Kohli perform and protect their positions in the Squad.
With the performance of the whole team in bad shape the selectors wil
be in a tight position to decide how to manage the Test team.
India trailing with 2-0 in the series and the poor batting
performance in the 2nd test 1st and 2nd innings, Indian team should show they
are the worlds best team not only in the shorter format of the game but
also in the longer format of the game.
