Jumping the signal…
Robin Uthappa - The bowlers nightmare, batting assassin and the massacre machine’s exclusion from the T20 squad, in spite of the signals Robin made to selectors have gone unnoticed, haven’t the selectors jumped the signal yet again. Robin's omission has raised eyebrows of millions of cricket fans across the country.
The blitzkrieg form Robin can turn around a match for any team he plays at any given point of time in the game and that innings would make the aspiring champion team to be in the fray and help in building up the momentum.
Sehwag, Gambhir and Yuvraj, yet not fired to their potential, Yusuf Pathan's just one remarkable innings out of 10 plus outings, Dhoni struggling to find the nick he is always in, Ravindra Jadeja not playing in IPL, Rohit Sharma's average output leaves Suresh Raina and Karthik who are in moderate contributing form. Undoubtedly, all these players are match winners on any given day, but, the form they are in makes the fans dreams vulnerable.

Add to that, injury plagued fast bowler Ashish Nehra was an interesting selection in spite of making his IPL 2010 debut yesterday and looked as usual a below par fielder and batsman compared to his counterparts. There has been a handful of blog and debates on the omission of Robin and Irfan, but will it matter to anyone now except the fans, who live, eat and sleep cricket.
The void in the batting department leaves the onus on the bowlers. Zak, Bhajji, PK and VK (hopefully should find a place in playing XI) will have to bowl to their fullest potential to ensure a chance for India. Piyush post his admission in to T20 WC squad has gained confidence and is bowling with good rhythm. Most of the bowlers are in great form but still to end the post, we miss you in Caribbean ROBBIE!!!
