Leg before wicket!

You'd say its very difficult to imagine cricket without Sachin, but wouldn't you bet it'd get impossible without a bat! Seems not in namma Bengaluru :)

Have a look, a unique blend of cricket and soccer: http://flickr.com/gp/sahaab/683403

And you can head the ball too: http://flickr.com/gp/sahaab/9P940Y :)

Not surprising, this is just about a "goal kick" away from the former Indian football captain's residence (Chapman) in Austin town.

Though this brought back a lot of memories of innovative cricket. The rolling of the socks into a ball or an eraser as a ball. Using exam writing pads, stumps, sticks as a substitute for bats. Not very long back, when I was preparing for the FFC3 photography contest, I'd spotted a reverse dilshan scoop in action.

Truely, cricket has gone beyond the heroes, deep into the souls of the fans.
