The loss in Dharamshala against the Kings XI Punjab might have caused a lot of disappointment amongst the fans but the saying 'Every cloud has a silver lining' is what comes to mind when one thinks of the loss. For probably only the second time in 8 matches, the middle order of the Royal Challengers Bangalore was tested and they failed miserably. Ahead of the play-offs, the RCB think-tank needs to take stock of the situation and take some serious measures if they want to prevent another batting collapse as was the case yesterday.
The middle order hasn't had much time in the middle thanks to a certain Mr.Christopher Gayle who has done the bulk of the scoring along with Captain Virat Kohli. When given a chance, the middle order has fared badly resulting in collapses. The 111-run loss might have inflicted a lot of damage n the team morale but it is high time the other players pull their socks up and start performing.
The bowling which has been the decent in the last few matches took a telling blow yesterday night partly due to their poor line and length and mostly due to the assault of Adam Gilchrist and Shaun Marsh. There is not much that a bowler can do when a legend like Adam Gilchrist decides to hit the ball. Overall, it was a poor day in office for the men in red, gold and blue.
Let's hope they Do better in the next game!
