Mark Boucher retired from international cricket after a severe eye injury he sustained on the opening day against Somerset during the ongoing England Tour.He also played in 3 valuable seasons for RCB.

Africa would have ever produced. Be it his wicket-keeping skills,his
ability to bat on and play long innings in Tests as well as in
One-Dayers was all and his never to say die attitude were among the
finest qualities he has as a player. His career lasted for 15 long years
and he played along side many great cricketers of past and present. He
was a True legend himself. His contributions to the game of cricket has
been high and he has served the South African cricket with determination

highest score of 147 not out in ODI’s and 125 in Test matches. His
hunger for playing the game of cricket in True spirit is highly
appreciated and his endless contributions for the South African cricket
has been brilliant.

Mark Boucher’s last series and he wanted to go out on a high with the
150th Test. Boucher ended his carrer on 998 international dismissals,
including 555 from 147 Tests, which was a record. He also took a catch
in the field against West Indies when AB de Villiers was keeping.

Mark Boucher retired from international cricket after undergoing surgery on the
severe eye injury he sustained on the opening day against Somerset.
Boucher had to leave the field at the end of the 46th over of Somerset’s
innings on Monday when a googly from Imran Tahir hit the stumps and a
dislodged bail struck Boucher in the left eye. He was diagnosed with a

Boucher played 10 games for Royal Challengers Banagalore in the IPL
Season 1, which was followed by 12 games in the next season. 2010 was
his last season with RCB, as he went on the play five games. His total
scored 388 runs for RCB and played in total 27 matches.
In the inaugural IPL year for RCB he had an average of 32.14 with one
fifty which was RCB’s second best
batting average that year. He smashed 24 fours and six sixes in 2008.
The next year he scored 150 runs (average 30) in 12 games. Not a single

be forgotten and he always played with commitment and determination for
RCB owner Sidhartha Mallya felt “sad” to hear about Boucher’s retirement after the injury.
