Marvelous Dilshan & Tidy Charl's Crushes the opposition in SLPL ! ! !

Royal Challengers Bangalore player Tillakaratne Dilshan started off Sri Lanka Premier League on a bright note leading from front as a captain of his side Basnahira Cricket Dundee.

After a much delayed start the match took off as it was reduced to 13 0vers per side. Tillakaratne Dilshan started off with a bang even after losing his fellow opener DLR Smith at the other end in the very 4th ball of 1st over who was bowled by Soahil Tanvir. Dilshan started off pretty well and making the opposition toil hard to stop the flow of runs from his bat. He lost his partners at the other end but he stood firm and kept scoring at fast rate striking boundaries and rotating the strikes well. Aussie player Bard Hodge gave him company after 2 wickets fell quickly as Hodge went on to make 27 of 20 balls after being hit wicket by Tanvir.

Tillakaratne Dilshan did not spare any of the opposition bowlers and went on to make a strong score off his bat making 66 in just 39 balls scoring 7 fours and 3 biggies out of the fence and remained unbeaten till the end. Borgas finished off well too giving Dilshan a much wanted company towards the end making 15 in 9 balls as Tillakaratne Dilshan’s Basnahira Cricket Dundee went on to make 129 for 3 in 13 overs.

After setting up a strong challenging target of 130 runs in 13 overs, Tillakaratne Dilshan did not spare the opposition team even with his good bowling as he spun the ball well taking 2 key wickets of opposition captain Samaraweera and got both the openers out. Another RCB bowler Charl Langeveldt proved his pick a worth as always and bowled a tidy spell of 3 overs giving away just 16 runs and picking up 1 key wicket of Perera. Both the RCB players Tillakaratne Dilshan and Charl Langeveldt showed that they are excellent fielders too taking 2 wickets through their run outs as Basnahira Cricket Dundee went on to win the match by 34 runs against against the Kandurata Warriors as captain Tillakaratne Dilshan earned the Man of the Match award in his name giving a strong all round performance in the match.
