My thoughts KKR vs RCB match
My take on yesterdays match...
Kolkata Knight Riders for the first time in the main pool managed to win a match and win the match in grand style. KKR outplayed RCB in every department and deservedly won by 9 wickets.
Dan the Man - Daniel Vettori the Challengers skipper is known as Dan the man for his ability to pull his team out of trouble. He has done it often with New Zealand and in this match it was for RCB. With RCB in deep trouble at 91 for 6 after the 13th over, Vettori walked in helped rebuilt the innings, and in the end played some exquisite shots to see RCB reach 169. His 44 off 23 balls was the highlight of the RCB innings and watching two huge sixes sail over square leg was a treat for the eyes!
The Gambhir - Kallis partnership - It was this partnership that saw the demise of RCB and what a partnership it was! Gambhir and Kallis together scored 109 runs for the second wicket and remained undefeated at the end. The duo took over the reigns of the chase after Haddin fell giving a brilliant start. The two milked the bowlers for singles and doubles and the occasional hit over the fence surfaced. It was all done with minimum risk and it was like watching a knife going to through your heart watching these two bat in such fashion. However I must say that I did enjoy it and that KKR look in good touch after this win.
Both these IPL teams have a long way to go and another loss spells certain exit. However I'm sure RCB will bounce back and if we play to our full potential which I'm sure we will, we can very well be in the last four! Go Arrrceeebeee!!!
