That is how this man came to us.

“900 thousand - are you kidding? or hell, joking?”

This is how my friends mocked at me on the 20th of Feb 2008 when Rahul Dravid and Vijay Mallya rooted for one of the greatest all rounders of all time with the amount mentioned in the title.

Now, he has shown as what he is capable of. 264* , 4 wickets and still more to come. This is what a test cricketer is made of. In the first match, KKR tried to remove him; they couldn’t. And now, the teams are failing even to move him, let alone the thought of removing him!

While I would thank Ray and Anil for making the team what it is today, I would also like to thank Rahul and his belief that a test cricketer can play any format of the game, which has created this team with vast experience.

Thanks Rahul… Thank you so much for this team which you have given us.

While people would comment “Test team? Not anymore!”, I would still say that this is still one - a team which knows how to play the game, a team which has shown how to endure and adapt, a team which is level headed all the time, a team which shows temperament - all these can be expected only from good test teams. So, ours is still a real TEST TEAM and I’m pretty much proud of it.

For a stat, this team has an experience of 600+ tests and thats how these folks have learned to fight and fight hard - comes only with the experience of test cricket!

This is a TEST team which has endured the TEST for two seasons, now starting to TEST the other teams and showing how to pass the TESTs.

Test cricket is slow I agree. But it is steady, solid and stupendous. Test matches are the ones which give long standing thrill to the audience. People would remember Eden 2001 more than the T20 WC win. Ask the South Africans, they would rather cherish the 4th innings 414 run chase than the 434 ODI chase.

Such is the impact of test cricket slow, yet solid!

And how different you expect a team of test cricketers grow? We’ve grown slowly, yet steadily and now are pretty much solid. That is another proof that ours is a TEST team.

Be proud guys. When someone says it is a test team, accept it and respond “I’m proud to be a FANATIC LOYAL fan of this ROYAL test team”.

yeah!!!! test cricketers may not be in the spotlight(in ipl) but a guy who plays test ckt!!! will know to face challenges!!! n dats y we are called as "challengers" not the one who "challenges" but the one who face "challenges"!!!n succeed
