One for the Challengers..
Most of the us I'm sure are still basking in last night's glory and few others contemplating a similar thriller against Warnie and Co tomorrow. But I'm really gung ho about the MI vs RCB clash on 20th
Having attended the UB group sponsored Mumbai Indians-Rajasthan Royals IPL after party, I was elated to meet most of the revered players I've always looked up to. (read Sachin, Sanath, Brian Lara)
I also made a mental note of how I would interact with them as fan of the game and not someone from the rival gang snooping around them. While most of them were cordial, the player who's humility took me by surprise, apart from the Master ofcourse
, was Jean Paul Duminy.

While asking for his autograph , I handed over the book which also had Our coach Ray Jennings and skipper Kumble's autograph. I sheepishly admitted to being a huge RCB fanatic, and how the FFC had helped bridge the team-fans divide for all the fanatics since the Champions League. Duminy, a Cape Cobran then and now a Mumbai Indian, who'd set the guns blazing with his 99 off 52 deliveries, against the Royal Challengers in the inaugural CLT20 clash, was glad to know how the fans bonded big time through meet ups, contests.
As a parting shot, he very sportingly wished our team (RCB), luck in this season.
