Overheard-Part 2

Conversations from the insides of the IPL. And how to win an RCB jersey signed by a player of your choice while you’re at it.Answers for part-1 and Leaderboard attached.

1. “Come on Appy! Five catches at a time, no less. Now run!”

Coach Ray Jennings lovingly refers this RCBian (a domestic cricketer) to a popular fruit drink while making him scamper around the Chinnaswamy in a fielding drill session.

2. “Today, you WILL smile for the camera! Ashish, now take his photograph!"

In the team bus after the Mumbai Indians match, coach Ray Jennings forces this normally reserved RCB star to do a well deserved grin for the camera as he instructs the Chief Photographer to capture the moment.

(Check out the picture on Ashish's post here: http://www.royalchallengers.com/chief-photographer/rcb-vs-mi-the-challengers-do-it-again-1 )

3. “Twenty minutes of talking in a match, and having to get to the ground before the players come in. Hard life eh, Michael?”

This RCBian, who did his bit of commentating last year, ribs Michael Kasprowicz about his job as we take the elevator down to the lobby on the eve of the RCB-MI match.

1.Robin Uthappa

Other answers received

a. "11/9 Balai Mistry lane" (Err.. Interesting address, but not what I was looking for!)

b. "Shane Warne" (Last time I spoke to him at the swimming pool, he hadn't considered a transfer  to RCB!)

c. "Rahul Dravid" (Most popular answer. Probably is a great father too!)

2. Brijesh Patel

Other answers received

a. "There is no 76 by any RCBian in POS" (Of course there is)

[Footnote: I stand corrected. As pointed out rightly by Venkat, it's the 49* by Brijesh Patel at Port-of-Spain that I'm referring to]

b. "Jay Rennings" (Coach won't be amused with that spelling. And he's as clean shaven as you get!)

c. Praveen Kumar (He would have loved to, except he didn't)

3. Virat Kohli

Other answers received

a. "Javagal Srinath" (The fast bowler who was gentle? Naw. And he's not with the team yet!)

b. "Pin-711103" (Decode that for me, can ya?!)

c. "Anil Kumble" (Jumbo? No, no!)
