Playing IX- My most interesting issue to be following on the site!
Since last IPL, I have read loads n loads admirable n amusing playing XI n discussion around it! This has been my most interesting part to read on the site
Team announced! Expecting many playing XIs to be put by Rcbians as the CL date gets close. I think this selection things is what many rcbians like to talk about! that includes me too. I remember from last IPL the manners n reasons to present a 11s n had a great time reading it. Here are certain things likely to happen in the team 11 discussion for CL too.
REPLACEMENTS- My god! So many rcbians are impatient! shuffling of positions n altering of the playing 11 demanded. Also forgetting sometimes that Ray n Captain got huge cricket brains n throw blames on them. Kallis was the center of attension last time. Mind it folks, Rcb has great players n talented youngsters on the bench. So its a tendency to feel that there is someone else on the bench who is capable to succeed where 1 in the 11 has failed. But chopping n changing team in haste doesnt work. So if they changed player of ur choice fails, u again keep shuffling the 11? how long?? According to me more than 90% of the times team is rightly being selected. There is no doubting its calibre. But showng it on the feild is too different n consistent performances from the played team 11 has stoped us from being champions, n not selection!
BLAMES GAMES- Cricket is more of a game n we dont often loose by just 1 player being bad. but many like pointing fingers n getting a target to punch. Whether it be coach's selection IQ at doubt or mindless blames to player. Its utterly wrong to single out anyone most times. Ross n Pandey had a poor IPL. Poor bowling at death specially. Some avoidable crucial dismissals due to weird shots. but Kallis alone was so much pin pointed! A worldclass player n among the greats do not have low, micro, selfish objectives of winning like orange cap! Some players may struggle, but they r important. That doesnt mean u throw abuses n make own assumptions specialy for someone like Kallis who also playd big part in many victories this IPL.
REASONS- Many will present their 11 without reasons for it! Just names 1 below the other. This is most common. The reasons will follow when someone argues about it leaving many rcbians in total confusion as to y the need for this selection. I hope its wont be the case now as its lot more interesting to read the logic behind the choice n his position of play. Many also presented very admirable reasons n i felt its worth putting to notice of the coach somehow! but not all! Few go too out of the box with 1 thought had playng someone as nightwatchman! night watchman in T20! ho ho! 1 more i felt bizzare was not to play allrounders as they r not at the batting n bowling level of Sachin n Steyn!
LUCK- I have read numerous times Kevin Peterson should not be played as he brings bad luck! Makes we wonder in what century people live. That man has single handedly thrashed SA n AUS attacks. One of the most explosives batters in the world. He played good important innings in this IPL. Give explanations such as form, temperament etc for the players..... but luck? Puh!
OPTIONS- I find this wired n amusing! The coment begins with 'my ideal/dream/playing XI will be...' but there are about 15 players mentioned with options presented at certain position. Then where have u decided the 11?? Its means u can decided what 11 to pick n how it becomes any ideal 11? I have read no. 6th should play White/Taylor/ Merwe n more like that. whats this!? so please mention just 11 best u think. I know its hard to choose seeing the quality of the side but thats where u have to show the logic to choose the ideal 11 right?
Whatever it be, 1 thing is so evident that Rcbians r hell lot fanatic about their team! Its this enthusiasm that creates fun! way to go! I will put my playing 11 soon n reasons where RCb can win or loose CL. hope there is good debate n discussion for the betterment of the team. N the moderators, please get our views that indeed make a point, reach the team!
