RCB Tournament so far and a look ahead
It has been a mixed bag so far, next 3 matches may well decide our form and chances in the finale
IPL is a long tournament, 14 matches are long enough for anytime to turn the tables. RCB was a good example of that in IPL II when we started winning many matches mid way through the tournament.
Team Game :
Many teams have got a new look and so have RCB. A new team means adjusting to new players, new captain and its not easy, it also takes time to get the team combinations right.
RCB team has a completely new look , so it should be time for seniors and proven performers to lead from the front. Youngsters should pitch in and get the team out of tough match situations. Of course fielding and running between the wickets is anyways part and parcel of the whole team.
Indian Players :
RCB has very new faces and also people who have been part of the world cup winning team. For any IPL team to succed its indian players should perform. I am not going to highlight who will do what but indian players performance will go a long way in ensuring rcb getting few wins under there belt in the next few matches
Weak Link :
In T20 there is nothing weak nothing strong, this is a short enough format to make you effective with one discipline one day and make you totally ineffective in the same discipline next day.
On Paper and my personal feeling is our lower middle order batting and our back up bowling is one to look out for. After 1 win and 1 lose i am sure RCB staff would be closely looking at these aspects and improving the same.
Next few matches are key for RCB. Tournament has begun and as it enters the middle stages it is becoming clear that this tournament will be as close as it was previously.
