RCB vs Pune Warriors:- RCB register a thumping win against Pune Warriors
Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 35 runs and defeated Pune Warriors.
The Toss Time:-
After the delayed start the match began and to everyone’s joy it was
going to be full 20 overs game. Virat Kohli was happy batting 1st after losing the toss and he proved this to be right by all means. Pune
Warriors meanwhile had made 5 changes to their team with the big name
Ganguly(Dada) rested himself for the game and Smith was the captain. The
only change in RCB side was in place of Syed in came K P Appanna.

The Gayle-Dilshan show:-
Yet again a watchful start was made but only for a few balls then later on both Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan went after the new opening pair of Pune Warrior bowlers as they did not even spare the experience bowler Thomas. They rotated the strike well, whacked fours and Sixes to keep the score and NRR going high as Pune Warriors bowlers were helpless. The opening partnership between Chris Gayle and Tillakaratne Dilshan gave Royal Challengers Bangalore a healthy start which they very much needed but then Gayle was the first to go trying to reach out on another six but the ball was not elevated enough and catch was taken by Pandey at the boundary which was a relief to the team Pune and Mathews who was the only economical bowler for his side. Chris Gayle thwarted 57 runs in just 31 balls which included 3 fours and 6 mammoth sixes.

Tillakaratne Dilshan played on and was joined by Virat Kohli as Kohli tried his best could not do much as he got out to a good delivery by Rahul as he hit a boundary in his short stay. Saurabh Tiwary joined in and made a slow start but then slowly picked up and accelerated to some extent and a partnership of 43 runs between Saurabh Tiwary and Tillakaratne Dilshan went on till the 17th over as Dilshan got out trying to run hard to reach to the crease but in vain making 53 in 44 balls with Six fours and a Six. AB De Villers got very few balls to play on towards the end hitting a last ball six and scoring 9 in just 4 balls as RCB reached to a total of 173 runs.
The bowlers did a splendid job for RCB:-
Everyone spoke of the RCB bowling to be weak than any other team which was not true and the bowlers proved it wrong today and bowled together as a unit and splendid spells. Zaheer khan played havoc in the 1st over reducing Pune Warriors to 4 for 2. Vinay Kumar went for a few but then got Clarke out in the 4th over. The only problem was with Harshal Patel as Uthappa went after him and to some extent K P Apanna was also scored off but he did bowl well.

Muttiah Muralitharan showed his heroics once again and got rid of the dangerous looking Uthappa. Thereon, the scoring rate of Pune Warriors dropped to a large extent and the asking rate went higher and higher even though they managed a few boundaries but the total was too high to reach out as some very good bowling display was shown by RCB as a unit and team work did it in as Vinay Kumar returned to take 3 wickets, Zaheer Khan and Muttiah Muralitharan ended with 2 each as Apanna and Patel tried their best to support well and won the game for RCB.
Royal Challengers Bangalore won by 35 runs and Chris Gayle walked away with yet another Man of the Match award in his name.
