Royal Challengers Vs SunRisers Hybd - IPL7

Much needed win for the RCB, losing 3 games in a row at the UAE and back in the top 4 after the win against SRH.

Exiting crowd, huge cheer and the advantage of playing in
the home ground and Chinnaswamy is always at its best while hosting
home games for RCB. The match against SRH played at Chinnaswamy
Bengaluru, experienced immense hitting by AB de Villiers when the South
African captain trashed the bowling of his Protean Team mate Dale
Steyn, that was a sight to watch. Certainly IPL’s one of the best innings.
Earlier,Rcb had won the toss and decided to bowl first. Rcb had
always been successful when it comes to the chasing at Chinnaswamy and
the bowlers did a fare job. Strac was at his very best, picked up 2
wickets for 21 runs in his 4 overs and the rest went for few runs. David
Warner was the only highest run getter for the SRH, the left handed Aussie
scored a 49 ball 61, his second IPL half century of this season and SRH
managed to post a total of 155 for the loss of 6 wickets.

Much was expected from the Openers, after losing three games
in row, they needed a good start. Chris Gayle and Parthiv Patel were
all set to chase. Not a good start again, Parthiv was castled
away by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, he struck the very first ball he came to
bowl. Just five runs on the board, Royal Challengers had lost their
first wicket and this was not the ideal start for the home team and the
same over saw another shocker, Virat Kohli out for a duck facing just 5
balls and RCB had lost 2 wickets in no time. Chris Gayle too did not last
long, smashing two six’s off Ishant Sharma’s over, lost his wicket
to Karan Sharma scoring 27 off 19 balls. Newly Signed as a
replacement for Maddinson, Rilee Rossouw and Yuvraj Singh were out for 14
runs. Only Abd could save the Royal Challengers and the run rate was creeping up, needed 11 runs to be scored in every over to
come. RCB had lost 5 wickets for 95 runs and needed a masterclass innings
from Abd, Chinnaswamy witnessed brutal innings when Abd took complete
control of the innings, 59 needed from the last 5 overs. Abd and Starc
added 57 for the 6th wicket, Abd dominated that partnership scoring
most of the runs and Starc had scored only 5 runs. If there had been a
batsman who can score 24 runs off Dale Steyn’s over, he would be none other
than Absolutely Brilliant De Villiers, the 19th over saw Ab’s
brutal hitting at it’s peak, 24 runs scored of that over from Dale
Steyn. Four runs were needed from last six balls and there was a little
bit of tension when Starc was run out and Harshal Patel played out
a dot ball, the next ball Harshal Patel managed to get off the strike
and AB de Villiers was back on strike. A low full toss from Pathan, Ab
smashed that in the gap to the deep midwicket boundary and a win for RCB
with a ball to spare and we are back in the top 4 with 6 points from 6
games. AB de Villiers remained unbeaten on 89 from 41 balls with 8 six’s
and 6 four’s, certainly a man of the match innings and a well
deserved one.

Keep Cheering! RCB for ever!

what a match. AB de Villiers is super hero of this match. His shorts really awesome. I like him very much.
