Chris Gayle hammered 37 runs (6, 6+1nb, 4, 4, 6, 6, 4) in one over of KTK's Prasanth Parameswaran to set an IPL record for the most runs in an over during the IPL 4 match between RCB and KTK in Bangalore on May 8, 2011.
Gayle has been a revelation since he joined the RCB squad mid-way through their IPL campaign. The team was tottering after losing three games until the Caribbean marauder was drafted in by the RCB team management at the expense of injured Australian Dirk Nannes.
Gayle has already hit a whopping 26 sixes and 31 boundaries in five games and if he continues in this vain, he is likely to take his team deep into IPL-4
