So what exactly is RCB's strategies for a title winning team?
Suppose its a question of building a healthy body, its important to take most important nutritions rather than just food thats tasty n fills the tummy, isnt it? Otherwise the result could be gaining of fats & weak bones rather than building strong muscles. After IPL4, according to our Mallyas duo.. RCB aimed to be a fit 'young' team. Like beauty soaps n anti-ageing cream ads on tv, where beautiful mothers get mistaken as young unmarried maidens, Mallyas find Zaheer, Dilshan, Vettori, Nannes, Kaif more youthful replacemnts than the actually younger n effective Praveen, Steyn, Uthappa, Panday, Ross Taylor that we had before. According to my personal opinion, RCB has not done a satisfactorily good selections in terms of cricket or even a money buisness. when i am saying 'not satisfactory' its not about RCB as a team 11 men team, but in comparison to developments in MI, CSK, KKR n such title contenders. Because its not just a question of building a balanced team in its own, but a IPL winning team better than others. And i really cant get it whats the planning n strategies in an attempt to make such a team! Rather it seemed it made some mess in the main auction n then in the trading windows, there is attempt to correct it.
RCB made it to the final last time. But remember that it was due to a steriod boost of Gayle that shot it up, n the fact remains that the body is still not as healthy. The foreign players just constitute vitamins-minerals tablets n its the domestic players that are the staple healthy food.
Mumbai- Sachin to open. Rohit Sharma, Rayadu in middle. Bhajji, Ojha in bowling for most of the low turning pitches. other good indians like Dinesh kartik, RP singh
Chennai- Murli vijay to open. Raina, Badrinath, Dhoni in middle. Jadeja, Ashwin in crucial spin department.
For RCB, barring a top quality Kohli, and a not-bad Aravind last season, has a cracking injury prone Zaheer alone of fair reputation n skill. Others domestic players are just successes at local domestic levels n largely unproven, weaker skilled at IPL level. It needs to be seen how the coach n mentors work on them n make them perform and emerge as rising match winning players. RCB at the moment has most of its chances rested on the performances of its 4 very fine foreign players. But even our oppositions have got great foreign names dont they?! So it brings it down to the competition between the domestic players. For RCB to emerge victories this IPL, it will most likely need 3 things to happen...1- Foreign players, specially Gayle, Vettori n AB De to remain in top form through out. 2- emerge some match winning heroes from less known domestic players, 3- hope MI, CSK drop in form or panic in pressure. Lets be optimistic n hope for the best for RCB :)
