Sri Lanka vs West Indies - The Final look (Preview)

We have reached the climax of the T-20 World Cup where history can be made as to whoever wins the Cup be it Sri Lanka or West Indies.

Both the countries, Sri Lanka and West Indies will
be itching to win the World title after displaying some fabulous quality of
cricket.

Where they Stand:-

Sri Lanka are playing their fourth World Cup finals in the last five years, since 2007 they have lost three finals of World Cups and last man who won a World Cup for West Indies
was Clive Lloyd.
For West Indies it will be looking upwards towards their rise
after being low in success among other International Teams and they have risen
at right time at the right occasion, the “T-2O” World Cup. For Sri Lanka it
would be all about breaking the final jinx and no better place to do this would
be their home country, Sri Lanka in front of their home crowds.

Lankan Lions - Will they make it Large:-

Sri Lanka have largely depended on their trio batsman, the pillars of their
team Tillakaratne Dilshan, Mahela Jayawardene and Kumar Sangakkara who have
been scoring heavily for the team throughout the tournament and have always
laid a solid platform for the lower middle order to do their job on some occasions
as many a times the middle order was not used as the top 3 did the bulk of
scorings. It would be interesting to see how they do in the finals and if they
fail does the middle order has enough quality and depth to do the needful.

Chris Gayle’s Brigade:-

For West Indies, it has been all about one man Chris Gayle, who has done
wonders for the team and has injected a very good positive energy in the side and
it has shown in the team’s performance. Even though the likes of DJ Bravo and
Pollard have clicked on a few occasions it has been Chris Gayle’s consistency
at the top along with a bit of support from Samules for the success of the
team. Sunil Narine has done what was expected out of him and the young lad
Badree has complimented him strongly. Will it be all about Gayle or we will see
team work from West Indies side. Captain Sammy has shown good leadership qualities but it has been Chris Gayle’s brigade all the way.

Can the Sri Lankan bowlers get rid of Chris Gayle early on to make things
easy for them or will the big man Chris Gayle come up with yet another chicken
dance to script the title for the West Indies.

Let the final battle begin, Yeh T-20 has boss, yaha nah tameez seh kisi ko
roka jaa sakta hai nah batameezi karne mein kuch sharam aati hai.
