And i make a sheepish confession, I wasnt really a Sachin fan, but yesterday a new fan of his was born. Better late than never. :)

As a cricket fan,this is the 2nd best moment for me, the 1st one being the India's T20- WC win.No one cared whether India would reach 400, no one cared whether India would win or not,Dhoni was abused inspite of hitting sixes and fours, because everyone wanted to the God of Cricket reach to a peak, where others can only dream of!
Shane Warne at this moment said "Come on Sachin my friend get your 200. World record to please! You deserve it… Nervous for my good friend Sachin everything crossed for you mate… Glad I'm not bowling to him today ha ha ha."
Then comes the last over of the innings, Sachin gets the strike in the 3rd ball of the over, steers the ball behind the point for a single and the milestone is achieved!
A superlative innings from the man who has the body of a 37 year old, but carries a heart of 20 year old.No one deserves this record more than SRT, because SRT is a man who respects Cricket and today is one of the many instances when Cricket has reciprocated in the same way. There is no difference between record books library and Sachin's record gallery! Future generations would envy us because they would never get to see someone batting like Sachin. For India, Sachin is an angel of happiness, as Mr. Sunil Gavaskar rightly says," A century from any batsmen means a 100 runs in his kitty, but a century from Sachin means lakhs of smiles across India"
There are 1411 tigers left in India, but what about the Lion of Cricket? He's only one, So please save him atleast till the World cup.At this moment, I am reminded of a poster by a Australian fan in Sydney," Commit all your crimes when Sachin is batting..they will go unnoticed because even The Lord is watching !!!"
Before retiring,dear Sachin, you have to do three favours for many cricket crazy fans of this nation :
1) A 400 in test cricket
2) 100 Centuries in all formats of the game.
3) 2011 World Cup win for India.
