The fans cricket match: A Huge Success!
With just 2 fans turning up, it was indeed a huge success! Lol....
Aaron Abhishek and Gnanashekar were the only 2 who turned up despite 30 odd people registering. Thanks you two!
What was further disappointing was that those who confirmed through sms and calls that they would be there, either chose to sleep or just didnt bother to show up.When i called them to find out if they're coming, there wasnt even a hint of regret in their voices. Now i know how to filter out registrations for the next game :-)
But everything was not gloomy afterall. Both Aaron and Gnanashekar have agreed to bring their respective teams for a match next Sunday, and hopefully that will be a grand success!

And now that you dont regret not turning up for the match, we too wont regret not inviting you for any further games. Thank you. "
Well said Sandy!
For your kind information, i first asked people's opinions on playing a fan's cricket match thro a survey on May 26th. There were 86 responses to that; 69 % of them called it a superb idea and 17 % called it a decent idea. this is the link for u: http://www.royalchallengers.com/chief-podcaster/wanna-play-cricket
Then, i announced that the match will be on June 6th, and this announcement was made on May 29th. Using your mathematical knowledge, u can find out that it is 8 days notice! Here'e the link again: http://www.royalchallengers.com/chief-podcaster/cricket-match-for-rcb-fans
If 8 days are not enough for you to make up your mind, then i wonder what is.
Also, just to re-confirm, i updated the list of players on the site on June 4th, which is 2 days in advance.
The fact is that you registered well in advance despite knowing you have an exam, and chickened out later. Probably, you had lots of free time then and didnt know how to spend it. So please dont blame the co-ordination.
And now that you dont regret not turning up for the match, we too wont regret not inviting you for any further games. Thank you.
firstly the date and venue with timings should have been put up earlier with the fan match update, so you would actually know who and all can actually make it there, rather what happened was everyone thought they could make it to a place some where close by and with there casual timings, but the information was updated only a day before and you cant make such quick arragnements, hope you look at this in the future
it's not exactly my attitude problem, i obviously wanted to come, and i was regretting having a test, but when i came to know about the result felt better, everyone else would have, i hope this sunday will be successful for u guys!! GL
