The fans cricket match: A Huge Success!

With just 2 fans turning up, it was indeed a huge success! Lol....

Aaron Abhishek and Gnanashekar were the only 2 who turned up despite 30 odd people registering. Thanks you two!

What was further disappointing was that those who confirmed through sms and calls that they would be there, either chose to sleep or just didnt bother to show up.When i called them to find out if they're coming, there wasnt even a hint of regret in their voices. Now i know how to filter out registrations for the next game :-)

But everything was not gloomy afterall. Both Aaron and Gnanashekar have agreed to bring their respective teams for a match next Sunday, and hopefully that will be a grand success!

@nirmit: it's one thing to not turn up. it's quite another to be proud about it and boast that you are happy you didnt turn up. this is wat that irked me, and i'm sure all others will agree.

i said u didnt inform venue and timings before hand.
and if the match was after was test then i would have definitely come(i mean on the same day but at some other time)
tell this to the other 27 who didnt show up as well

@nirmit: this clearly shows you havent been logging in to the site regularly.
For your kind information, i first asked people's opinions on playing a fan's cricket match thro a survey on May 26th. There were 86 responses to that; 69 % of them called it a superb idea and 17 % called it a decent idea. this is the link for u: http://www.royalchallengers.com/chief-podcaster/wanna-play-cricket

If 8 days are not enough for you to make up your mind, then i wonder what is.

Also, just to re-confirm, i updated the list of players on the site on June 4th, which is 2 days in advance.

@radiosandeep- u made some errors and anyone could have eventually predicted the outcome.
firstly the date and venue with timings should have been put up earlier with the fan match update, so you would actually know who and all can actually make it there, rather what happened was everyone thought they could make it to a place some where close by and with there casual timings, but the information was updated only a day before and you cant make such quick arragnements, hope you look at this in the future
it's not exactly my attitude problem, i obviously wanted to come, and i was regretting having a test, but when i came to know about the result felt better, everyone else would have, i hope this sunday will be successful for u guys!! GL

That's really awful. What are people expecting...goodie bags all the time? Maybe they would have turned up despite other commitments if you said Katrina Kaif had autographed all those caps. You tried your best.
