Here's my problem, I haven't been able to access Twitter, or RCB site for months now, not because it wouldn't load, but enough work at workplace to keep me busy.
It'll be wonderful if the contest was designed to run over a week, or atleast had a time frame of 1 week to answer. Really would like to participate.
The concept of doing the quiz live is great, but am not sure if you'd get the participation from all the fans in the community.

@nidhi: it would be nice if you give him a chat window on the lines of the one that used to be there during match days of IPL. Meebo has it's own problems. one cant type numbers and also, different answer order appears on different screens.

regd the chat, yes Sandeep did have lots of issues with it... if you can think of a better way, well and good. if not, do it this one time. try to get in touch with sandeep to learn best practices from him.

Brilliant IDEA man!! love it!! :) however it will be nice if u can split the rounds over the days!! cause ppl may be busy and it will interrupt the fluency oft he quiz!!! anyways best of luck mate!!!! :) ill try to be there!! :)

Actually, the first edition of the Podcaster's quiz was tried that way, but it proved to be a tad troublesome. So, Sandeep moved to using the chat screen from the second edition. So, the chat window will have to stay.

Unfortunately, I don't think there is any other way. By the way, Sandeep's been running the Podcaster's Quiz successfully on a chat screen, and it's been done about 5 or 6 times. I don't think there will be any problem. Hope for the best :)

Take part in the Grand Quiz on the 12th of July, that is, the coming Monday, at 8-30 pm.
Hello everyone!
This is the first edition of the Grand Quiz (or the Quiz le Grande, as I like to call it
).
If you think you are a walking encyclopedia of RCB trivia, then this is your chance to showcase your talent, and win prizes while you are at it.
Be there at http://www.royalchallengers.com by 8-30 pm and be on the look out for the announcement “The Grand Quiz is here” on the "Fan Updates" section on the right hand side of the RCB home page.
This is a quiz, but a quiz with a twist. Let me explain:
The quiz will be held in a chat screen, just like Radio Sandeep's Podcaster Quiz. There will be 5 rounds in all with 3 quesions per round. That is, 15 questions in all.
Round I: This is like a bit of a Treasure Hunt. I won't be giving you the questions, but they will be hidden somewhere (in plain sight, of course). But, I will be giving you clues as to where to find the question. You'll have to find the question and post the answer to the question on the chat screen.
For example, if I give you a clue like "Jumbo", the first place to look will be http://www.royalchallengers.com/player/anil-kumble (Since his nickname is Jumbo, but you knew that, right?
)
Round II: This will be a Visual Round. I'll post the links to the photo on the chat screen, and you'll have to see the pic, and give me the answer.
Round III: You'll have to identify the RCBian from the really, really tough clues I'll be giving.
Round IV: You'll have to listen to an audio clip, and recognize the RCBian's voice. This will be quite interesting
Round V: Straightforward questions, with the answer definitely available somewhere on the RC site.
For the first round at least, it is advisable to have 2 tabs/windows open in your browser (Internet Explorer/Firefox/Chrome/Safari/Opera/whatever
), because searching for the question in different pages and returning back to the chat screen will be a tedious task.
The points structure for each round will be announced during the quiz itself. The person with the highest net points will be declared as the winner.

If you have any appointments on Monday night, cancel them and come play the Grand Quiz.
