An account of how the first day panned out for the Fanatic-Fans team.
Today, the three adult males here are thoroughly aware of how life must have been for Alice.
The chiefs checked-into the hotel today morning, all starry eyed. The first couple of hours were spent settling down and figuring out our sweet little abode (ahem ahem) for the next few days.
Then was the time to take a walk around and get some snaps. Siva needed some time to tune his camera before getting on with the real job. He found his muse in Sidharth for those 15 minutes.
Once Siva was done, we donned the team jerseys and left the rooms. In the lift, we let go of a chance to strangle a Cobra man. I have a feeling, judging by his smiles and nods, that he mistook us for RCB players.
There are at least three teams staying here. During our walk we saw Gibbs soaking the sun by the pool. But our eyes (and cameras of course) were fervently searching for our boys, the Royal Challengers.
Providence rewarded us very soon and how. The first RCB player who we spotted was, hold your breath, RAHUL DRAVID. We were so awed that the poor cameras missed out.
Things started rolling by this time. Praveen & Vinay were seen lunching together. Then, folks, unfolded the scene of the day. Two bowlers, well known for their ferocity when it comes to their occupation, walked past us with impressive swagger towards the reception. They picked up a handful of chocolates from there.
Siva took some great pictures meanwhile, which he has uploaded on his page. Go check those out guys.
The evening brought with it, the most special hour of the day. We were invited to the team meeting and introduced to the kings of our hearts. I am still awed by the experience. It demands a dedicated post. Keep watching this space guys and share the joys of those incredible moments with us.
