Its in the eyes, there is a rage in this young bloke I thought when I saw the finals of the Under 19 world cup as a bunch of young kids led by this fiery skipper fought for every inch. The team is an ideal reflection of the skipper is what they say. This bunch of blokes were not going to go down, they were confident they deserved to win, they believed in themselves and in this sport belief can do wonders.

The electricity of that match was terrific the skipper was the most fired up of the lot and the young kids brought home a trophy led by this raring to go bloke.

Virat Kohli looks a shy kid in interviews but on the field is where he revels… He has amazing batspeed that is one thing that comes to the eye immediately. He plays the hook and pull quite nicely which is a rarity in young batsman in India as most seem to learn these strokes only after they come in the International team.

His recent exploits in Australia with the A team tell a story of its own he made a century in the finals. His double century against the Pakistan first class team also tells you he is a man for all the versions of the game.

If nurtured properly he is one bloke that will be a permanent member of the Test squad of the Indian team.

The guy fields like his life depends on it and can also bowl Chris Harris kind of irritating leg cutters. Batting is his forte and he is quite instinctive and natural which are his gifts. A good season in domestic cricket should help him hone his skills to be a much better batsman.

In T-20 his game should just be allowed to be expressed naturally. So far he has not done too much to catch the eye and has not been the most successful yet, probably guilty of playing too many strokes too soon. But this is one good investment the RCB team has made, he is going to pay them back sooner than later.

But take my word his time is to come and when it comes… boy hang on… its gonna be a spectacle … This guy is a future Indian batting great in the making… !!!!!

Like I say… there is some fire in him… waiting to explode.. !!!
