Time to tame the Kings now..!
Some derisive laughter by the fellow Mumbai Indians supporters after here in Durban, egged me to challenge them "We'll be back here for the Semis" And here we are!
All set to face the Superkings. Turning our fortunes around well enough to be the first IPL outfit to qualify for the semi finals, our boys have carved a niche for themselves in the international T20 arena.
Our batting depth is something thats not to be scoffed at. With the two hardest hitting batsmen in our side (read Ross Taylor & Cameron White) and the likes of Dravid, Kohli, Pandey and Uthappa having a steady influence with the bat, We certainly have what it needs to take on the Rainas, Dhonis ans Vijays of CSK. After all we've beaten them in Durban during the IPL last year.
Our bowlers too relish the South African conditions really well. Though Durban hasn't quite proved to be lucky for us in this tour, but with quickies like Steyn, Vinay Kumar and PK along with our spin sensation skipper, our bowling is in safe hands.
Ideally a battle of two of the best IPL sides, a Kumble for a Muralitharan, a Dravid for a Dhoni, a Vinay Kumar for a Ashwin and a Uthappa for a Raina, we've got all it takes to tame them. So tomorrow is a 'been there, done that' for us. Will history repeat it? Only time will tell. We're all ready for some silverware :-)
