Hey all this is about the top 10 captians of india.Everything here is what i read about their captaincy records and their way of approach it has not been taken from any website.Have a read and lets have a healthy debate about this.

Lets start with Kapil Dev.It was under his captaincy that India started to flourish.We won the Prudential cup in 1983 in England against the invincible west indian cricket team that had players like Gordon Greenidge,Viv Richards,Lary Gomes,Mallcom Marshall,Joel Garner,Andy Roberts.And we were able to win quiet a few series in Australia and England too.Kapil also proved to be a very aggressive captain.He himself was a dynamic all rounder.

Next came Mohd.Azharuddin.He was a very cool and relaxed person.His captaincy stint was highly appreciated by all.He himself was a style king.his elegance and style proved to be a headache for the opposition always.

Next came the great DADA-Saurov Ganguly.Ganguly proved to be a mentor for the youngsters.It was mainly under his captaincy where legends like Dravid and Laxman blossomed.Gangulys captaincy took India to new heights.We came till the finals of 2003 world cup and were defeated by the rulers of cricket quiet convincingly.

Now M.S.Dhoni is proving to be a sensation for world cricket.His captaincy is cool and highly appreciated by everyone.His shuffling of bowlers,field placements are mind-blowing.The only problem is that he persists with non performers like Ravindra Jadeja and Yousaf Pathan.MSD also leads Chennai Super Kings in IPL and CSK have been the most consistent team in IPL sofar undoubtadly.In IPL1 they were the runners up in a very close game against the Royals from Rajasthan.In IPL2 they were out in the semis against Royal Challengers.In IPL3 they are the champions and ACLT20 2010 they have been invincible champs.Though one may argue it was due to Murali Vijay,Ashwin,Raina etc... CSK won but no one can deny that MSD's captaincy was outstanding.

Many other captains passed by but these 4 are the captains who made a revolution in team India.Rahul Dravid was a good captain too but his failure in WC2007 earned him a name "Worst Captain".Sachin Tendulkar is one of the finest batsman of world cricket like his mate Rahul Dravid but his captaincy was too disastrous.

Rahul and Sachin also tried their captaincy luck in IPL for RCB and MI respectively but Rahul failed miserably as a captain though as a player he has added so much value to RCB 's success.On the other hand,Sachin as a captain is good enough and as a player too he is yet again proving his master class here too.

Dravid still approaches IPL in a traditional manner but Sachin tries those unwanted slogs and unwanted shots.Anyways traditional cricket rocks.
