RCB player Virat Kohli has been named as a replacement for injured Yuvraj Singh to play in the remaining Tests Matches against England as Yuvraj was ruled out for the rest of the series.
Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh were ruled out of the remaining series against England. Yuvraj Singh would be out of action for four and Harbhajan Singh for three weeks. Yuvraj had fractured his left index finger from England fast bowler Bresnan and Harbhajan has a Grade I abdominal muscle strain.
Virat Kohli, who was dropped from the Test side for England even after performing well after he had made his debut in Test series in the West Indies and since Yuvraj has been injured, Virat Kohli has been given another opportunity to prove himself yet again and to show that the selectors did a mistake by dropping him. The Royal Challengers Bangalore player Virat Kohli selection will give a boost to the struggling middle order.
Pragyan Ojha has also earned a call up as a replacement for Harbhajan Singh and it would be interesting to see who would India play between Ojha and Mishra as both would want to grab this opportunity to have a permanent place in the team.
