Virat Kohli to lead India for Asia Cup

Virat Kohli will be captain of Indian team for the Asia Cup.

MS Dhoni has been ruled out of the Asia Cup in Bangladesh because of a side strain. Virat Kohli will lead India in Dhoni's absence and Dinesh Karthik slots in as the replacement wicketkeeper.

Virat Kohli has led India in eight ODIs previously, when Dhoni was injured
during a tri-series in the West Indies involving Sri Lanka and then
rested from a tour of Zimbabwe in July and August 2013. His record as captain has been impressive as he has got 7 wins out of the 8 matches he has captained the side.

The young rising star has been in excellent form with the bat. He has got a lot of experience leading Royal Challengers Bangalore and his International record as captain has been impressive.
