Virat Warms it up for India in style
Royal Challengers Bangalore key star Virat Kohli gave a boost to the Indian team in the warm up matches before the ODI series against England.
In the 1st Warm Up match against Sussex Virat Kohli set up a comfortable chase for India chasing a target of 235 runs from 45 overs. Virat timed the ball all around the park as the Sussex bowlers found it hard to tackle Virat Kohli. He marched his way to 71 runs of just 83 balls with 6 fours and a big six off the park. ODI specialists Parthiv Patel & Rohit Sharma joined the party as they went on to score 55 & 61runs respectively. Sachin Tendulkar make a quick 21 runs of just 17 balls but the mainstay for India was none other than Virat Kohli as the Indians went on to win by 6 wickets. RP Singh was the pick of the bowler picking up 4 wickets in the match.

In the 2nd warm up match against Kent which was a 20-20 outing, Virat Kohli was once again was a stand out performer for India firing a superb 78 runs from just 53 balls as the boundaries rained from his bat smashing 7 fours and 3 sixes.
Rahul Dravid who returned to the ODI team opened the batting in this match scoring 15(14) with 2 fours. Towards the end of the over R.Ashwin hit a quick fire 23 runs of just 12 balls as the Indians reached 164 runs in 20 overs. For the visitors J.Denly made a brilliant century but in vain as the Indians went out to win yet another warm up match.
