Volatile Otago Volts
Otago Volts the champions of the Newzealand T20 trophy is quite a energetic team. This is the second formal exposure they are getting as a team out side the pacific. Volts have never experienced OR exposed to play in front of the large crowds. The pressure will be very high on Volts as the result of this match will decide the fate of one team remaining in the tournament. Advantage RCB again, home ground and home crowd, always RCB has lived up to the expectation in a do or die match. RCB winning a match from this knock out position will exhibit the teams strength as an unit and the mental stability of the players, which will be a huge plus for the rest of the tournament.
The poor performance by Volts in the first match and the crowds today is definitely going to give them some shock. In the event of Volts making couple of changes in to the squad to what they played Cobras last week, again the pressure mounts up with a herculean task of show casing and justifying the talent to be a match winner. Volts will go all out to challenge the challengers, lets cross our fingers and wait for RCB's positive outcome.
On the other hand, this has been the most memorable ground for one of the Volt at least. Brendon Mccullum will try to relive his memories of IPL at any body's cost, but RCB clearly holds various MCB's to drip the VOLTS-age. For sure, the action off the ground be it in the hotel or the atmosphere in Bangalore when they drive from the hotel to stadium, the fan fare behind RCB will make Volts a little volatile than ever.
While scripting this last one before the end of the first leg of our tournament, I pray to the rain gods to stay away. One never knows, rain gods may make the day for RCB !!!
