About Me

Raghu Nath (Raghunath)

If you followed IPL2 on RCB website, I am sure you would remember "Observer" - the guy who was bringing you a statistical analysis of RCB's chances of making it to Semi Finals! That's ME ... and I was SPOT ON ... RCB made it to the finals and my "strategic statistical insights and analytics" was turning out to be bewilderingly accurate. Wouldn't RCB need me now and for the next IPL? Because I have some proven techniques that can really help the management of Team RCB!

I am an ardent cricket fan ... my early life recollections about my cricket craze date back to collecting cricket pics from newspapers and magazines and making a scrap book out of it. In fact I would lead my brother, cousins and friendsto libraries like City Cental Library in Jayanagar and Indian Institute of World Culture(each of us below 12 years and carryng a blade!) to cut pics from exotic cricket magazines - The Cricketer of UK was fabulous.
Once I was caught cutting a pic by the librarian who was sweet enough to merely give us a lesson in moral science that ended this adventure!! I was a hero in my school because I had a great scrap book! Looking back, I wonder how I got that kind of courage!!
My other notorious achievements include jaywalking into the wedding reception of B S Chandrasekhar when I was 13 - smartly dressed, I piled on along with a Chandra's Syndicate Bank invitees!
I did manage to play cricket for my school but realized that I may end up neither here nor there since I was not even "club class cricketer".
When I entered college, I became more serious about studies and went on to do Engineering in RVCE Bangalore and MBA from IIM, Calcutta. Worked in several MNCs and now I am an independent technology consultant.
Cricket has been fascinating, in all its forms all these years. And is geting more exciting in its new avatars! Let's all enjoy it - playing, watching, writing about it,analyzing, talking about it, and living it!
