The CLT20 will be a different ball game altogether. Everything about it is different right from its venue to the format to the no. of matches, everything…. What makes this CLT20 very interesting is the fact that it is in SA where the Bangalore boys did exceptionally well in the IPL 2009 to finish as the runners up. Unlike the scores in IPL, an average competitive or match winning score in SA conditions would be around 140. So what batting lineup should the team play and more importantly where should DRAVID bat given that conditions in SA suit bowlers… Should he be made to open?? Or should he come in at his favourite No. 3?? Remember, for batsmen it’s more about adapting to the conditions of SA rather than just the hard hitting bang bang….....

At number 3..Dravid is synonymous with one down position!

Well…Rahul Dravid should get his favorite slot-NO.3.
But he can even choose to open if Manish Pandey is out of form…
So better be a OPENING POSITION or 1 DOWN!

I guess they’ll change the batting order for every match depending on the requirements.

Opening with Dravid would be a disaster, I’m telling this though I’m a BIG FAN of Dravid… Coz, we need power hitters at the Power Play.. So Dravid coming down on 3rd or 4th position is perfect…

depends on situation…......... no use of kallis n dravid batting together as both have similar style of batting
if kallis gets out 1st then dravid can be sent at 3 otherwise little down the order

@ No 3!!!!
But for his class he can bat at any number and switch gears depending on the situation.

Jammy must bat at number 3.Many people thinks that he can’t play big shots but its absolutely rubbish. The thing is he hasn’t got proper oppurtunity as Kallis in the top order. He can play all roles as per situation of the game.Hopefully in CLT20 2010 he will get his number 3 position & take RCB to victory. All the best Jammy & RCB! Win the trophy!

yep no.3 is his position….....look when u see kallis and dravid bat together ...it happened last ipl well u could see dravid as the striker and kallis as the anchor…so i don’t see any reason for why dravid shouldn’t be in his usual no.3….and he musn’t be kept till the end like the 6th batsman or so tht’s a disgrace

dravid & kallis shold open.
becoz, in SA you cant attack right from the word go due to swinging conditions.
If these two can score around 70 in 10 ovrs, than our hitters will bat freely with wkts in hand.

No:3 If Kallis got out earlier.
Else
NO:5 is the best slot.
