During IPL-1 season, RCB took time to adjust to T20 condition.Rahul dravid scored 371 runs and was highest indvidual score in IPL-1 for RCB. Not even kohli, Kallis, Anil Kumble and Ross tailor played to their ability. It’s not a question of Captain, it’s a matter of team game. The humiliated loss in IPL-1 is not because of Dravid, it’s because of all team members. No one has performed to their best. Everybody was flop except Rahul dravid. He tried out with different combination for opening, even then nobody shined.

He was sacked from captain for IPL-2.

Since they knew the drawbacks of IPL-1, they could able to perform well. Again Rahul dravid batted brilliantly. What he has done for RCB is a thankless job.
In IPL-3, He didn’t get an opportunity for the first 4-5 matches, still he used to smile and said,“As soon as team is winning, I don’t have to bother about batting line up”. After that He got an opportunity and did very well for RCB. He is a team player. One should understand his attiutde towards game.
Now, Rahul is not with RCB. How sad!!!!!!!!

Absolutely correct,he has been the consistent performer with the bat for RCB and for India for so many years. Its really dis-heartening to see this but neverthless he will play IPL but will he play for RCB is the mega question as Pune is a very rich franchise and they are eyeing for big gun like Dravid so that they start up with a huge fan base.Neverthless i will support whichever team Rahul plays for,ill be happy if he is in RCB because this family has been wonderful espically for IPL3 and Royal send off, contests etc…but who knows???

dravid is the only player who has performed consistently and in a self less manner.in T20’s dravid throws away his wicket if the team has got a steady start(run rate something like 7-8 runs/over at the end of 12 overs). he is not a player like michel clarke or jacques kallis who continue to play at a relatively low strike rate and improve their avarages. yet he was not given ample chances to bat in IPL3. wherever dravid plays he is not given due respect. weather the captain is kumble or MSD he is not given the right respect what he deserves.no one can deny this as we all know what happened in IPL3.
dravid captured the orange cap in IPL2 in a selfless manner untill he was in the tournament. he was pretty fluent in IPL2 eventhough he was running short of patners in the initial stages.
inspite of being that consistent there are some news like base price of dravid is high.
whatever it may be,if RCB lose dravid in the auction (i hope it’ll not happen) then RCB is gonna lose a true sportsman and a lot of fans
