The India Under-19 opener becomes the first uncapped Indian player to sign for the Bangalore- based IPL team

With Manish Pandey yet to decide on which team he would like to play for in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have managed to get India under-19 opener and the lone centurion in 2010 Karnataka Premier League (KPL) Mayank Agarwal to sign in favour of the Bangalore based side.
Mayank, who was also approached by Mumbai Indians and Deccan Chargers, decided to sign for RCB and completed all the formalities at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai last week. Mayank, thus becomes the first uncapped player to be signed by RCB after the IPL auctions got over last week end in Bangalore.
In fact, Mayank was also part of the Rajasthan Royals team in the last IPL. He was selected from the Indian under-19 roster, but couldn’t manage to play even a single match for the Shane Warne led team.
Mayank, known for his aggressive style of batting was the player of the tournament in second edition of KPL. Infact he became only the second player after Manish Pandey to score a century in KPL. Pandey had scored a ton in the inaugural edition of KPL. Mayank’s addition to the team will give RCB an additional option for an opener in the IPL.
Meanwhile, Pandey is yet to decide on which team he wants to play for in IPL. As reported earlier, both RCB and Sahara Pune Warriors are keen on getting the services of the Pandey.

Royal Challengers Bangalore have signed promising batsman Mayank Agarwal for two years, ahead of the fourth edition of the Indian Premier League.

Agarwal thus became the first uncapped player to sign up with RCB after the two-day auction held at Bangalore.

Bangalore has also been trying to get Ambati Rayudu, who impressed all with a strong show for Baroda in the on-going Ranji Trophy season. RCB’s director Sidhartha Mallya had visited Vadodara, where Baroda are playing their Ranji Trophy final against Rajasthan.

However, they failed to rope in the explosive Manish Pandey as the player has apparently turned down an offer from RCB. Pandey was more keen to move into the Sahara Pune Warriors camp.

“I have to be very careful. I can’t say anything at the moment. But Pune are in touch with me,” Pandey said.

Incidentally, Pune had bought Karnataka lad Robin Uthappa for a staggering USD 2.1 million (approx Rs 9.5 crore) during last week’s auction. “We are quite happy to have Uthappa in our side as he is a proven match-winner in the T20 version,” said Sushant Roy, owner of the Pune outfit.

Pune have also signed three Maharashtra players, Harshad Khadiwale, Ganesh Gaikwad and Shrikant Mundhe.

I think Balachandra Akhil,Adithya Sagar and KP Appanna would be some good picks from home side.For wicketkeeper,Ithink we should buy Goswami as he can open as well.

Yeah youre right
RCB signed Raju Bhatkal.

Goswami is being bought by Kolkata.So we have to try other wicket keeper.I think Devraj Patil could be a good pick as there are not much options left for us.

Rajesh Bishnoi would be a useful hitter lower down the order.Also there are no bowlers who can bowl who cannot bat much potentially as Praveen,Vinay and Roelof Van Der Merwe did.So Akhil would be an ideal pick for this purpose.
