I’m concerned about the lack of quality in the uncapped category. Ideally we should have been able to retain Manish Pandey who has been in scintillating form in the recent Ranji season. His loss will be deeply felt. The karnataka Ranji team had 4 key performers this season - Pandey, Amit Verma ( batters), Vinay & Mithun. We seem to be losing key guys. Manish & Vinay would have been able to take the pressure of the big stage. Will have to hope that the new recruits can take the pressure and deliver under the spotlight.
We need a strong uncapped pool like what MI, CSK, DC or RR ( 1st season) discovered and have….Lack of communication on the signup’s is worrying. Another key factor is the lack of an established captain. The youngsters will look up to someone established or atleast a senior players within the Indian team who can influence their selection at some point. kolhi as a captain will kill the chances before the first toss! . We need 3-4 good finds. Hoping for the best. Views
