Right or wrong combination?
Yusuf Pathan: Was he trying to hit over the top or didn’t time it properly? We all know how dangerous and hard hitting man he is but is he trustable in struggling situations?
Yuvraj Singh: Have already scored three half-centuries and picked seven wickets inculding five-wicket-haul against Ireland. But, will he do better job in the future?
Ashish Nehra: A old gun of Indian cricke team but now too old to be the top gun? Lot of injuries, maybe it effected his
bowling speed? But he didn’t helped India in loosing conditions. Getting wickets, but in the next match staying wicketless?
Expectations from one billion people, is it pressure?
The biggest problem is India going through at the moment is their bowling, India needs to find good bowling combinations of bowlers. Is it too risky to take Nehra and Sreesanth in same match? Is Virat Kohli batting too lower the order? Kohli usally batted at three-four but batting after Dhoni and Yusuf, does it put lot of pressure on him?
Batsmen: Indian batsmen looking for big-shots? The way Sachin and Sehwag batted was worth watching and entertaining batting, later the party was joined by Gautam Gambhir. India lost their last nine wickets for just twenty-nine runs, poor shots? It would have been better if India batted slowely and not looking for big shots. Hashim Amla the South African batsman probably the most iconic player of ODIs has always batted slowely and keeping good score and good run-rate at the end, does India needs the same stuff?
Bowlers: Zaheer Khan with not enough bowling speed, but probably the most clever bowler at the same time. Harbhajan didn’t performed really good against Ireland, Netherlands but against South Africa, he came-back very strongly. Question.. was it a good decision to give the ball to Ashish?
Once again another chance for Indian cricket team to answer to their fans, it’s just a one loss but can be very expensive for India.
