1) Just take a look at the IPL ladder.. Of the top 4 teams, guess what they have in common? YEP , you guessed it!, each one of them has an indian player as the captain. not one team with an overseas captain is in the top 4. The only other team with an indian captain outside the top 4 is DElhi. Im sure there are reasons behind this, it is very hard for an overseas captain to come on and take charge of 7 indian players on the field, not an easy task, apart from Gilchrist, i have never seen any overseas captain do well in the IPL to date. While Vettori is a great captain, i think captaining 7 indian players is too much to ask from him.

2) Lets look at our own history, look back to when Pieterson was the captain, we lost terribly nearly every game, when Kumble was then made the captain, we started winning. and they both had the EXACT same team. what does this tell you? same thing, 7 indian players need an aggressive indian captain.

3) If we do have a captain, given we are dead last on the ladder, we need to pick an aggressive captain, someone really passionate, our only 2 potential captains are Kohli and Zaheer, but when i look at their passion on the field, only Kohli seems to be passionate, he is very animated in the field. Zaheer isnt, therefore Kohli should definetly get the task.

4) Jennings has already said Kohli will be future captain of RCB and India.. Jennings has obviously placed a lot of faith in Kohli, he always praises him and was the ONLY player retained by RCB, so given the state of our team now, why not go for it..make kohli the captain.

Im really not sure what all these high paid RCB coaching team is doing, why is it that they canot realise these basic things…

and vettori can continue to be the best, just not as a captain.

i think virat has experience of captaining the side and moreover under his work we won world cup under19 championship and he is a young and athletic cricketer , who always waits for the chance to prove

just because he is deserving!!!!

I think we sholud wait for some time to hand over the Captainship to kohli as it may affect his performance, any way Danial is a good captain with lot of experince…

i thnk danial vettori shld remain the captn as He is the eighth player in Test history to take 300 wickets and score 3,000 runs.
n virat shld remain the vice captain as Virat Kohli was prefered ahead Suresh Raina and became the first Indian to score a century on World Cup debut

Itz impossible to compare Vettori and Kohli….Kohli is an emerging player…Surely he has potential…....But, what matters is experiance ! And Vettori has it more than Kohli

They can do that. But i feel it is still some way to go for maturity in captaincy.

WELL YOU ARE QUITE RIGHT,BUT I THINK WE SHOULD WAIT FOR SOME TIME TILL HE BECOMES A MORE “MATURE"PLAYER.HE STILL CAN’T KEEP COLL UNDER PRESSURE (YES YESTERDAY WAS A BIG MATCH BUT WE ALL EXPECT SOMEONE LIKE HIM TO BE THE COOLEST PERSON ON THE FIELD,DON’T WE?)AND EVEN IF HE DOESN’T BECOME THE CAPTAIN HE WILL HAVE (AND DEFINITELY HE HAS)SOME INFLUENCE OVER THE PLAYERS.EXCLUDING MORE EXPERIENCED INTERNATIONAL PLAYERS.AND VETTORI IS NEVERTHELESS A GOOD CAPTAIN.HE TOOK NEW ZEALAND TO THE SEMIS AND HAS GREAT INFLUIENCE AND FAITH ON THE PLAYERS AND IT IS RECIPROCATED TOO.

Kohli and Vettori both are equally good captains… Whoever takes it up is good for RCB..

both are good in their own ways…..

both r good at captaincy… kohli s rocks…

Virat Kohli will be the great choice as he knows the Indian conditions well..

Well Well Well otherwise we can have a senior player like Daniel Vettori to lead the team..

We need a captain cool like Jumbo..
