RCB’s batting line up is strong and is certainly so on paper, but given a pressure situation it is proving to be very tender and brittle. RCB lost 6 wickets chasing 102 in 13 overs courtesy foolish D/L method calculation.
Just imagine what would have happened if Chris had been dismissed a little earlier before he scored those 38 runs agains KKR. Others crumbled gasping to score 58 rush after Chris departed, and we are talking about the strong batting line up.
It is strong but failing in application and temperament.
RCB batsmen other than Chris should stand up and say I am there just in case Chris departs early, They should not depend solely on Chris and give a casual approach.
RCB should not take it for granted that Chris will do it always and in every match, I would be more than happy to see him do it through the IPL4 and win it single handedly for RCB, but it is cricked one wonder ball or one miscue can undo his magic and that is where other batsmen should carry the mantle and finish without much ado and fuss.
