IPL… Indian Premier League… Deccan Chargers, Pune Warriors India, Delhi Daredevils, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, Chennai Super Kings and last but not least Royal Challengers Bangalore. 10 teams; 45 days; 74 matches and one dream: DLF IPL4 winners! All the teams tried immensely but one was remarkable this year! Yes, RCB!

Let’s have look at RCBs journey through the IPL this year:

9th April: RCB vs. KTK, winners: RCB (won by 6 wickets), man of the match: AB de Villiers (54* off 40 balls)

12th April: RCB vs. MI, winners: MI (won by 9 wickets), That was a “down” day

14th April: RCB vs. DC, winners: DC (won by 33 runs) another “down” day

16th April: RCB vs. CSK, winners: CSK (won by 21 runs) again, another “down” day

19th April: RCB vs. RR, (match abandoned)

22nd April: RCB vs. KKR (Chris Gayle replaces Dirk Nannes for RCB, game on), winners: RCB (won by 9 wickets), man of the match: CH Gayle. Yes!

26th April: RCB vs. DD, winners: RCB (won by 3 wickets), man of the match: Virat Kohli.  Yes!

29th April: RCB vs. PWI, winners: RCB (won by 26 runs) Yes!

6th May: RCB vs. KXIP, winners: RCB (won by 85 runs) Wow!

8th May: RCB vs. KTK (Go green! The jerseys were green too!), winners: RCB (won by 9 wickets) man of the match: Virat Kohli! Awesome!

11th May: RCB vs. RR, winners: RCB (won by 9 wickets), man of the match: Aravind! Amazing!

14th May: RCB vs. KKR, winners: RCB (won by 4 wickets), man of the match: CH Gayle! Brilliant!

17th May: RCB vs. KXIP, winners: KXIP (won by 111 runs! One of those “down” days…

22nd May: RCB vs. CSK, winners: RCB (won by 8 wickets) Back on track! :D

25th May: (Qualifier 1) RCB vs. CSK, winners: CSK (won by 6 wickets) Uh-oh!

27th May: (Qualifier 2) RCB vs. MI, winners: RCB (won by 43 runs) Hello finals!

28th May: (Finals!!!) RCB vs. CSK, winners: CSK (won by 58 runs) There will always be a next year… smile

Out of the 16 games they played (not including the abandoned match) they won 10 matches! During this journey, 2 players from RCB wore the “Orange Cap”, V Kohli and CH Gayle! CH Gayle may have stood out the most because of his dashing 4s and 6s but other players such as V Kohli, T Dilshan, AB de Villiers and Aravind have worked EXTREMELY hard this IPL too!

This was long, tiring and full of happy memories journey, I enjoyed this IPL a lot! What about you? smile I hope it keeps getting better and better every year! #ISupportRCB Do you?
