Certainly till now, India has had one of most forgettable tour in England. Losing all 3 test, more worryingly is looses have been by huge margin and have been increasing match by match. Problem is it looks nobody is in their prime form n other hand they are not playing well as team. With exception of Dravid with the bat n Praveen with ball n Dhoni in last test to some extent, all other have been utter failure. Sachin has no where stood near expectation, Lakshman is not performing, Raina seems to be wrong choice, opening pair has been changed frequently, one man who was always thought under such difficult Viru has got 2 golden duck in a single match, bowlers lack pace n bounce which are required such conditions, butter fingers on field, dropped shoulders, hands in their pocket, looking a tried lot n so. In comparison England are completely contrast team. Team India seems to be in all sorts of mess.
Every one before the tour knew it’s a tough tour considering the condition and England bowling bench strength. It was touted as series between England bowling vs. India’s batting. But Indian batting have failed miserably on other hand England bowling n also batting have been simply fantastic. They are aggressive which reflects run rate even though their average is high. It was considered to be a very tough preposition to win before series but at least being a No.1 Indians were expected to draw the series. Sadly we have played very well below expectation, there by handing over NO.1 status to England.
England is also looking like a far better side n can be said as the best team in world right now. Rightly they have got first pace for very first time since ranking were introduced. The inventors of game have very less accomplishments considering their only world cup is in T20 world cup. Whole of UK will be celebrating now. Congratulations to them.
As far as India is concerned talent is not problem but their attitude and body language seems to be the problem. Remember this was the team which won world cup just a couple months ago and had held world no 1 spot in test. They can do it, still a lots of cricket is left one test, 7 ODI and a 20-20 match. But then a lion’s heart is required if by any they want to swing the tide. Time will tell which way tale will end.
