Chris Gayle has become the most popular player after his mighty perfomance in IPL-4. From the past few weeks I’ve been hearing many questions from RCB fans regarding Gayle’s availability in CLT20. RCB management have not given any response regarding this.
Well after referring few IPL rules, I came to know this bad news. Chances of Gayle playing in CLT20 is very limited, here is the explanation.
Gayle played for RCB in IPL as a replacement for injured Dirk Nannes, he was not bided by any of the franchise during IPL auction. Now Nannes is back fit and strong, so Gayle has no spot in the team ;(
Few might say we can release any foriegn player and get back Gayle, but IPL rulebook prevents it from doing. Gayle can be retained for IPL-5 with some bidding and internal contracts, but retaining him for CLT20 if a very tuff job, but not impossible task.
Our Franchise Dr.Vijay Mallya have promised to retain Gayle and he will surely achieve it, we can hopefully watch Gayle Storm in IPL-5
