The Indian Premier League outfit, Royal Challengers Bangalore, is hoping to retain the West Indian explosive left-hander, Chris Gayle, for the next edition of the lucrative competition.
The deal to retain him will be complicated, as Gayle had signed for only one-year, which means he will be put up for auction, where any buyer can bid and attain his services.
The former West Indies captain was signed by the franchise as a replacement for injured Dirk Nannes, where according to the rules of the tournament, the Challengers cannot keep the player and will now face stiff competition from other franchises as well.
However, Sidhartha Mallya, the director of Bangalore outfit, is working out on a deal with the IPL authorities where they are hoping to keep the player, rather than letting him get on the auction list.
“There are ways to keep Chris [Gayle]. We are obviously working on it and looking at every possible opportunity,” he said optimistically.
WELL GUYS LETS HOPE THAT GAYLE STAYS IN RCB !! MOST PROBABLY HE’LL BE UNDER HAMMER BECAUSE MALLYA SIR CAN’T AFFORD MORE MONEY TO RETAIN HIM , KINGFISHER FLIGHTS ARE CANCELED DUE TO NON PAYMENT OF FEES 602 CRORES TO HPCL, HE’ S INVESTING ON FORCE INDIA WHICH IS NOW CALLED SAHARA FORCE INDIA….
