The situation with Gayle is a very important thing now for RCB
If i am not mistaken these are the following Scenario’s: we tradre Andrew McDonalds for $100000. so we have $1.9 million. now we have following possibility.
1) RCB can retain Gayle from his base price US$400,000 or in which RCB will lose out money from their auction amount of 2 million.
2) Gayle can negotiate for more money if he chooses to stay with RCB from $400,000 to 2 million in which if Gayle chooses more money for eg 1 or 1.5/1.9 million) then it will indirectly take RCB out of the auction as there wont be much money left thus ruling out good boys in the auction.
3) Gayle can unselfishly negotiate for his base price of US$400,000 thus providing RCB with a 1.6 million purse in the auction which can be used for strengthening our squad . all RCB fans are hoping for this.
4) Gayle can reject RCB’s contract which will allow him to go back in the auction pool. That will probably lead to getting him a full 2 million offer from at least a few IPL teams and my even go the tie beaker ( similar to pollard which will fetch him loads more money).
ITS A TRICKY SITUATION LETS HOPE RCB GETS THE BEST FROM THIS….
for RCB jan 20 is last date to retain gayle. if agreement between RCB and Gayle is not done then gayle will go to auction pool. so think still gayle is not with us until the confirmation come from RCB management that is on or after jan 20
