i think pujara will b a gud option with gayle.. pujara provides tat solidity required… mayank b played down d order….

i completely agree…gayle was primary threat from RCb’s army..so if he opens with youngsters like pujara that will put more pressure on him…on the other hand dilshan will ease pressure on him. as teams will be targeting gayle, dilshan will also have a chance to free his shoulders a bit.

Dilshan is a smart choice for the opening spot.

Dilshan is a good player up front and he does handles the spinners well.

no first preference is dilshan. if dilshan is injured only them Mcdonald. mcdonald is backup all rounder. and also we have strong middle order. we have AB, tiwari, agarwal,poojara, karun,pathan, bhatkal etc. and imp thing is dilshan is regular spinner for srilanka now a days. Mcdonald is a medium fast bowler but we already have zak,vinay,arvind. and also we can use dilshan to bowl in power play. he will bowl exellent in powerplay. we already seen against NSW in CLT20. he bowls 4 overs just for 10 runs and gets a wicket(against warner and watson). dilshan is very consistent in both batting and bowling. so dilshan is good option over mcdonald.
if we open with dilshan then gayle can bat without any pressure. i have example for that.
when gayle opens with mayank then gayle play defensively for some overs but when dilshan is there he will play without any pressure.
