Dravid, an Anchor OR a Hitter???

What Dravid believes in??? If Dravid’s last knock against KKR was any indication, as we most of us don’t believe in anchor role in t20, it seems like Dravid doesn’t believe in anchoring the innings too.

52 off 34 balls before he got out for 35th ball; he hit 2 sixes in 2 balls to reach his fifty and most importantly when UTHAPPA was at the other end. With just 160 to chase I thought Dravid will try and rotate the strike as so called anchoring and the other batsmen will go for big ones. But guess what he proved me wrong and that helped us with the net run rate too. Of course Uthappa innings was too good to watch too…..

So Dravid has provedthat he can be a hitter, whether will he bat at No 3 when we are chasing 200+ runs??? What team management must be thinking of Rahul, Anchor or Hitter????

    Rahul Dravid is both hitter and Anchor…................he is the Best!! as Sunil Gawaskar said he has the ability to hit the ball but he was not doing that…...............ya but yesterday he was Hitter Definitely love you Dravid just Keep goning….

rahul has the talents of a perfect batsmen….
and a perfect batsaman can adapt himself in any editions of cricket…

dravid is known for anchoring the innings..
but he has changed himself into a hitter adapting to this format..
hence dravid can play dual roles…

Dravid can anchor as well as hit. We saw that he anchored the innings after the dismissal of Kallis. Once he got in, he went for the biggies. He just proved that he’s the perfect candidate for the position of batting at no. 3. This playing 11 is awesome, but i hope sriram can assist kumble better while bowling.

Dravid has always been an under-rated cricketer. He has one of d smartest cricketing brains. He always plays according 2 d match situation. Jus cos he usually plays d anchors role doesnt mean he cant accelerate. Wid d pitches gettin slower n slower he’l play n important role n ensuring us a semifinal berth.

Dravid is the Sachin the world never acknowledged with due…

RD can suit any Role ( anchor or Hitter}......

dravid can play according to any situation.it is a big dissapointment that he virtually did not play first 9 games.

We could have won the game had there been another Dravid to follow after Dravid dismissal. We needed 2 Dravids in the last game who could play sensibly and yet aggressively. Imagine, after Dravid departed someone could exactly play how Dravid played before he got out, that’s exactly we needed but unfortunately no one else could play like Dravid did.

We lost the game because Kallis was trying to Anchor the innings and hitters were trying to hit the ball in the air without using their heads.
Fact of the matter is, There shouldn’t be any fixed roles like Anchor or hitter in any format of the game. You should just play according to the situation.
THAT’S WHAT DRAVID BELIEVES IN AND THAT’S WHAT DRAVID DOES ON THE FILED, HATS OFF TO YOU DRAVID.
