Do we really require an oversea allrounder in the next auction?

All my friends over here are suggesting big names like thisara perera, Steven smith, Daniel Christian, Michel clark etc

But have a look at our own,  Andrew McDonald, lucky enough to play only 4 matches in last IPL season. 

He has scored in an average of 23 and strike rate of 135 in the least minimal opportunity he got.

Also he has taken 5 wicket in four matches with a brilliant economy of just 6.10.

In overall t20 criket he has scored with an average of 34 and strike rate around 125. He has claimed 77 wickets with an economy of 7.6, pretty good for an allrounder.

Also he has good luck factor in Bangalore pitch just like Ravindra jadeja in Kochi ground.

But this quality t20 player has got only 4 matches in complete IPL 2012 due to good team composition strategies.

Then what will be the case of new recruits if they are bought? Probably they should also be warming the benches.

So what I think is, it is better to play him in the squad rather than buying any new players. Instead we can buy any quality Indian player to support our poor lower middle order batting, with the low amount in the purse for the auction.

What do you say guys??

Do you think he payed justice to his team in the previous editions? He was like saurabh tiwary to his team.

we need steve smith he is a good alrounder

if we grab Steve smith then we will become more lethal team and ipl6 we be ours. do you agree guys?

i dont thin we will buy smith. but having an indian all rounder as back up might not be bad

I agree to your words dear friend.
Anyone who followed ICL might know about two guys Rajagopal Sathish hand Ganapathi Vignesh.Both of them played with our Syed in the same ateam for Chennai Super Stars in the now defunct ICL.
Rajagopal Sathish is currently playing for Kings XI Punjab,where he has not got a single opportunity.A great batsman and a great fielder.
Ganapathi Vignesh is a great batting talent,almost identical to Virender Sehwag.He can even turn his arm around.
McDonald and Syed are under-rated players in our team.They are undershadowed by big names.

Our masters know better than us what to do.
I’m sure that Thisara Perera will come our way.
And McDonald should be preferred over Dilshan,since he is a T20 expert.\
Hope it happens so.

Quite perfect.. McDonald is a better t20 option than Dilshan. But Dilshan’s international image makes him the priority.

If rcb team management is eying for a foreign allrounder, they will surely go for perera. Rcb has a little affection over Sri Lankans.

I think we should try for Irfan Pathan then

the main problem in RCB team is
1—MIDDLE ORDER ( Good finisher if openers fails also )
2—- Economic Bowler ( should maintain less than 6 also should do good at depth bowling)
3—-Part time bowler ( should give bowling performance when team needed )

LIKE ZAK, VINAY, MURULI/VETTORI, MCDONALD, HARSHALL/ARVIND SYED/APPANNAA ETC. IF NEED WE SHOULD USE GAYLE, KOHLI,ETC.
