1. CSK
The have a perfectly balanced side, with the core of the Indian international team in dhoni, raina, jadeja, vijay, ashwin, badrinath. The all-rouno thders in Albie Morkel, Dwayne Bravo, give complete new dimension the team.Although quality pace bowling department might be a bit of worry.Clear favourites to make it to the play-off’s!

They have a depleted middle-order with the loss of wade, finch, pietersen, maxwell, ryder.
There is a huge hole in the depleted middle-order,that could ruin their chances.Pace bowling also looks out of sorts missing Varun Aaron for the whole season and yadav, morkel and pathan just making a comeback from injury. The team might not be favourites this time around..They might infact be rated the underdogs…

They have pure talent in their team and good balance..But their concern would be the form, with almost everyone suffering from bad form(pathan, gambhir, manoj, balaji, kallis)
Is Sunil Narine still a mystery bowler?Although they are rated favourites on paper, they look out of sorts and have a lot to work on.

They have a perfect team and perfect balance with the team and also the support staff.Their main concern would be accomodating their players since almost all their batsmen are used to playing at no.4 or no.5.(rohit,rayudu,pollard,ponting,karthik and maxwell)Their bowling is over-dependant on malinga. But they are clear favourites to make it to the play-off’s.

They look good on paper and have a lot to choose from. The top order and spin are their strength..However with the fall of 4-5 wickets, they are usually held back. Pace bowling looks good too, although they should look to work on slog-bowling!Also rated favourites to meke it to the play-offs.

They have a lot of variety and match winners, who can single-handedly win the match. The return of yuvi is a big plus for them. However the top order starts at a slow pace, putting responsibility on the middle-order. If this can stop and they can get good starts, they have the firepower to go all the way!

They don’t look so good on paper. But their ability to win at home, combined with the class of dravid, rahane, watson and hodge and firepower from cooper and shah at the middle gives them a quite balanced team. Domestic bowlers always have looked good for them. But they domestic players can also be crushed by the opposition on other ocassions. Although not rated favourites, they have a small chance to make it to the play-off’s.

They have a good top-order in Dhawan-Sangakkara pair.Although middle-order lacks solidity, they have hard-hitters in perera and sammy. Bowling is over-dependant on steyn, although the good form of ishant and mishra might give them a bit of hope in the bowling department. They could make it all the way too.

Probably the underdogs of Ipl6 who are over-dependant on David hussey,Gilchrist and mahmood.Although Shaun Marsh’s recent good form might be good news to them. They have the worst bowling attack.Although Parwinder Awana can take wickets, he is outright expensive..The same goes with the over-expensive piyush chawla and out-of form Praveen Kumar and Gony. However,Azar Mahmood is the only exception. They can’t accomodate other foreign bowlers as it could weaken their batting. They lack the second all-rounder in the side and have no indian player from the current international team. The domestic players are not match-winners for them and they remain clear underdogs, unless Gilly weaves some extraordinary magic, which seems unlikely.

Good analysis of the different teams for IPL 6. The 3 teams that will make the playoff this season are MI, CSK and KKR for sure. Now there would be fight for the 4th position between RCB, RR and DD. Out of these three teams RCB has a realistic chance to be the 4th team. But again like I have said before the most important thing for RCB this season ould be how thier Indian players perform and the bowling performance in death overs. If they are able to do well in these two areas then they can be a force to reckon with in IPL else it would be the same old story.

The probable Play-Off contenders in this hard guessing cricket league may be:

Chennai Superkings
Kolkatta Knightriders
Mumbai Indians

Royal Challengers Bangalore.

But this is Cricket. Nothing can be taken for grant
