Yes the biggest positive for RCB from yesterdays match was that Tiwary has clicked as an opener. We have all been criticising him but yesterday he played sensibly. Hope this is not just a one off performance. If he continues to click as an opener then that will solve a huge problem for RCB as we needed a solid Indian opener to take the pressure off Gayle at the start of the innings. Having said this I would still wait and watch how he performs in the upcoming matches. We also have Pujara who is fit now and he can play instead of Lokesh Rahul in the team.
Again the RCB bowling is the weak link. Pune almost chased the 188 run target and once again we saw the bowlers bowling length balls towards the end of the innings. This can be fatal in the playoff matches. Muralidharan was expensive and should be replaced with Rampaul. Also I am not sure why RCB is not testing the other pace bowlers in the team. We have so many Pankaj Singh, Zaheer (if he is fit), Sandeep Warrier, Parmeshwaran, Harshal Patel and Mithun. I think RCB should be testing the other bowlers in the upcoming matches which will give as an indication as to who can be the best bowlers for RCB for the play off matches.
